Independence
The Comprehension Service has a special status because it consists of volunteers. Autonomy is quite relative and extends to the choice of forms and methods of work, to the ways of disseminating information, the organization of the mediation process, goal setting.
Openness
Any of the participants in the educational process can contact the Comprehension service.
Development
The Comprehension service should have ongoing professional support that provides continuous training and supervision. And the service itself always remains flexible and ready for change.
The service of Comprehension should benefit the participants of the educational process: to assist in resolving conflicts, to make restorative practices more popular, to work on the prevention of violence, to promote a culture of peace, to establish positive relations between peers.
