On 3rd December Alfred Nobel University students with OSCE representatives joined the annual 16 Days of activism against gender-based violence.
The 16 Days of activism against gender-based violence is an annual international campaign that starts on November 25 with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and lasts until December 10, the International Day for the Protection of Human Rights.
The purpose of the action is to raise public awareness on the issues of domestic violence, human trafficking, children abuse, gender-based violence and equal rights for all people.
Students were presented with strategies for combating violence, tools for gender-sensitive policies and support projects for victims. The representatives highlighted the main goals and objectives of the OSCE SMM team, as well as the role of mediators in resolving conflicts and incidents.
The presentation ended with an awareness-raising quiz on gender equality and with memorable gifts and prizes for the youth.
The meeting was arranged by International Cooperation Department.
