Education: graduated from the Economics Faculty of Moscow State Lomonosov University, speciality "Political Economy", specialization "Economics of Foreign Countries" (1982), post-graduate programme in Moscow State Lomonosov University (1985).

In 1986 she defended her thesis on "Mutual export of capital of advanced countries in modern conditions" and obtained the academic degree of PhD in Economics.

In 2013 she graduated from Donetsk National University doctorate programme.

In November 2014 she defended the doctoral thesis on "Strategies for innovation competitiveness of countries in the global economic system" on speciality 08.00.02 – World Economy and International Economic Relations and obtained the highest academic degree – Doctor of Science in Economics.

In September 2014 by the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine decision she was awarded the academic title of Professor in Marketing.

She has completed internships at leading universities in Western Europe:

  • Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium);
  • University of Antwerp (Belgium);
  • University of Amsterdam (Netherlands);
  • University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany);

The formation of a modern innovative model of economic growth, assuring integration of Ukraine into the world economy and raising international competitiveness are impossible without thorough understanding of market mechanisms, the laws of behaviour of consumers and competitors, as well as the basics of strategic planning and control. The International Marketing Department trains skilled professionals for organizations and enterprises of all economic sectors, professionals who:

  • have a mastery of effective marketing instruments for managing demand for goods and services of an enterprise, creating and maintaining competitive advantage in the market;
  • are able to integrate marketing solutions into enterprise management;
  • have practical skills in applying mechanisms of marketing policy for achievements of the business goals of an enterprise and increasing business value.

Teaching disciplines is carried out by experienced lecturers, Doctors and Candidates of Sciences, skilled professionals in marketing. Trainers and consultants from business schools, foreign experts are also involved in the study process.

The study process meets modern world standards and requirements of the Bologna Declaration. The methods of active learning: case studies, business games with the use of information technologies, as well as advanced study of foreign languages are widely used.

The Department actively promotes the employment of its graduates due to the existing integration relations.

The graduates of the Department can continue their study on the University’s postgraduate training programme.

An expert in the field of the Marketing after graduation from Alfred Nobel University has the relevant professional skills and is able to solve problems and perform the following activities:

  • market and public opinion research (analysis of sales potential of goods, the consumers’ demand for goods in order to raise sales and develop new products, as well as statistical analysis of the results);
  • determining strategic tasks and goals of marketing activities of an enterprise;
  • substantiation and development of marketing policy and business strategy;
  • forecasting the conditions of domestic and international commodities markets;
  • planning long-term measures for strengthening competitive positions of an enterprise in the domestic and foreign market;
  • advice on commercial activities and management (consulting and practical assistance for state and private enterprises and institutions in planning, as well as advice on organizational issues, assuring effectiveness, collection and processing of information for taking managerial decisions);
  • development of product assortment;
  • development of brand (trademark) and brand management (branding);
  • development of pricing policy of an enterprise;
  • organization of the system of sales and promotion of products;
  • development and organization of an advertising campaign;
  • formation of an enterprise image and PR (Public Relations).

A graduate can work at: enterprises under various forms of ownership, at advertising and PR agencies, investment and insurance companies, consulting firms, catering establishments, banks, travel companies and agencies, cultural institutions, state administrative bodies and educational institutions.

A graduate can hold the following positions: managerial (director of an enterprise, head of marketing, head of sales department and other subdivisions of the relevant business profile, deputy head of a subdivision), brand manager; expert in marketing research, expert in sales; expert in logistics and product-pricing policy; expert in analysis and planning of marketing activities; expert in advertising and PR etc.

International partnerships

Lecturers and students take part in academic mobility programmes (conferences, seminars, publications, research) in order to approbate the results of their research. They participate in TEMPUS international projects. Alfred Nobel University cooperates with the University of Montenegro in Kotor and the Cyprus Institute of Marketing.
The students of the 3rd -5th year of study take active part in the student exchange programmes with the Chodkowska University (Warsaw, Poland) and Kozminski University (Warsaw, Poland).

The Department of management and marketing was founded in 1995 for teaching full-time students and part-time students of the major «Marketing» fundamental and professionally oriented disciplines (order of rector № 2-У of 3.01.1995).

In 2002 the Department of Management and Marketing was divided into the Department of Management and the Marketing Department to improve the level of training of students in connection with the reorganization of faculties of our university and changes in subordination of departments (order of rector № 105-12-У of 29.08.2002).

The Marketing Department was headed at different times by: Vecherov Valeriy Tymofiyovych – Doctor of Engineering, professor (1996 - 1999); Mischenko Anatoliy Pavlovych – PhD in Technical Sciences, associate professor (2000 - 2002); Petrunya Yuriy Yevhenovych – Doctor of Economics, professor (2002 - 2006).

International Marketing Department carries out research on the cross-cutting research topic “Marketing Management of Competitiveness at Micro-, Meso,- Macrolevel in Modern Conditions of Globalization” (the number of state registration of the topic: 0114U005600) (the deadline – January 2019.).

Partnership and cooperation agreements concluded with a Government enterprise “Design department “Pivdenne”, marketing consulting agency “Living&Stone”, LLC “Free Trade” (Dnipro) and others were part of this research and development project.

We have established academic ties with the University of Montenegro (Montenegro), Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy (Russia), the Cyprus Institute of Marketing (Cyprus), Baranovichi State University (the Republic of Belarus).

Over the last five years lecturers of the Marketing Department have published more than 100 research papers in Ukrainian professional journals, foreign professional periodicals «Review of General Management» (Spiru Haret University, Romania), «Montenegrin Economic Journal» (University of Montenegro, Montenegro), Journal of Economic Regulation – Issues of management of the economy (Russia) indexed in international scientometric databases, more than 150 theses at international and all Ukrainian research-to-practice conferences.

Lecturers of this department have actively taken part in the International Nobel Economic Congress (Dnipro, 2008-2016).

The department conducts research activity each year as part of the so-called “Science days”. In March 2014 the 5th International research-to-practice conference «Marketing management of competitiveness» including young academics, postgraduates and students was held. 213 representatives of Ukraine from 25 educational institutions and 70 representatives of 9 countries and 18 educational institutions (Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Germany, Cyprus, China, Russia, the USA, Montenegro) took part in this conference.

Main problems to which staff of the department is seeking a solution include: working up the theoretical and methodological framework of development and adoption of marketing strategies of growth and competitiveness at both micro and macro level; defining the role of innovative marketing in raising the competitiveness of enterprises; improving the mechanism for management of marketing communicative activity of enterprises; determining the role of IT environment in marketing activity of an enterprise; developing recommendations concerning management of a trademark.
