Foundation Course

Alfred Nobel University (ANU) offers foreign citizens and stateless persons the opportunity to study at the Preparatory Faculty (FOUNDATION). This faculty was established to provide high-quality preparation for further admission to the university’s degree programmes, as well as to ensure successful adaptation to the academic environment and life in Ukraine.

Studies at the Preparatory Faculty include learning Ukrainian or English (depending on the chosen future programme), as well as specialised subjects according to the selected field of preparation.

For over 10 years, the Preparatory Courses at Alfred Nobel University have ensured high-quality education and successful qualification.

Through continuous improvement, incorporating feedback from both instructors and students, classroom experience, and close collaboration with other universities worldwide, the FOUNDATION course demonstrates the interconnected nature of business, applying business models, theories, and methods to support the analysis of contemporary business problems and situations. The course content is designed to engage students with topics and issues that are relevant globally.

Overall Programme Objective

The programme is designed to prepare students for admission to higher education institutions in Ukraine and to develop academic, language, and general educational competencies necessary for successful further studies.

Programme Description

At the Preparatory Department of the International Students Centre, part of the Department of International Relations, foreign citizens and stateless persons study Ukrainian or English as the language of instruction in order to pursue higher education in Ukraine. They also acquire knowledge in core general education subjects.

Admission to the programme is granted to applicants who have completed full secondary education in their country of origin.

Expected Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the programme, students will have a solid foundation in academic writing, analysis, and critical thinking, as well as strong knowledge in core subjects necessary for further university studies.

Teaching Methods

Lectures, seminars, interactive sessions, and independent work.

Assessment

Assessment includes ongoing knowledge checks (tests), project work, and a final examination.

Programme Duration and Structure

Total programme duration: 9 months (1,080 hours) or 6 months (720 hours)

Class frequency: 4 times per week, 2 academic hours per session
