MA Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities

The mission of the department is to provide modern professional education based on the best educational standards, national and international traditions, achievements of science and practice in the field of Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities, taking into account the requirements of international and European systems of standards and certification.

Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities are activities related to the organization and functioning of business, trade and exchange structures, which are carried out to achieve economic and social results.

The educational process at the department is carried out according to educational programmes that provide a high level of training for bachelors, masters and graduate students in entrepreneurship, trade and exchange activities in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market.

Within the framework of the educational project business experts, lecturers and professors constantly hold «School of Business and Logistics» masterclasses.

The club «Entrepreneurial Workshop» works at the department.

The interaction between high school and business is important. The department has an educational center «Business for Business», which aims to establish and develop effective cooperation between entrepreneurs and teachers for further development of entrepreneurship in the region and improve higher education with the support of graduate practitioners.

Improving the quality of teaching is facilitated by scientific research conducted by teachers of the department.

Scientific achievements are confirmed by patents. Teachers of the department received 11 patents for utility models and a patent of Ukraine for an industrial design.

More than 70 certificates for registration of copyright in scientific works have been received.

The Department of Entrepreneurship has a scientific school: «Research of ways to increase the competitiveness of domestic enterprises», Scientific adviser: doctor of economic sciences, professor Valentyna Pavlova.

Academic Staff of the Department of Entrepreneurship are members of the Dnieper branch of the Ukrainian Society of Commodity Science and Technology (UTTT), which is part of the International Society of Commodity Science and Technology (IGWT).

Academic Staff of the department are also members of the NGO «Association for the Globalization of Education and Science SPACETIME», the main purpose of which is to promote the globalization of education and science, intellectual development, academic mobility, international educational and scientific cooperation, educational and scientific interests of its members.

The high demand for our students is evidenced by the fact that many of them already in university have a prestigious job, combining it with training!

According to the results of the survey "Academic Staff through the eyes of students" in the disciplines of the spring semester of 2019/2020 academic year formed "Top-3" of Academic Staff of the Department of Entrepreneurship, who took the first three positions on average:

The department was established in 1998 (order № 75-U of June 16, 1998) to provide training for applicants for the higher education of the first (bachelor's), second (master's) and third (PhD) level of the study programme «Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities».

REPORT ON SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORK ON THE TOPIC "FORMATION OF ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT MECHANISMS"

From February 2015 to February 2020, the department carried out research (NDR) on the topic "Formation of enterprise management mechanisms" (state registration number 0115U000062) (completion - February 2020).

10 teachers, 4 doctoral students, 7 post-graduate students and up to 80 higher education graduates were involved in the implementation.

For five years, the following were published by the performers of research work:
one departmental monograph and 33 sections of collective monographs outside the university, including co-authorship with doctoral students, post-graduate students and students;

4 scientific articles in Scopus databases;

16 articles in foreign periodicals;

38 articles in professional publications of Ukraine;

47 abstracts of reports published in collections of materials of international scientific and practical conferences and published abroad;

106 abstracts of reports published in Ukraine.

The result of intellectual activity is two patents for a utility model and 45 certificates of copyright registration for works of a scientific nature.

Based on the results of scientific research, two doctoral theses were defended (L.D. Garmider, 2015 and N.V. Lokhman, 2019) and 1 candidate’s thesis (T.S. Vakarchuk, 2018)

During the period of implementation of the theme, the research work of higher education students was intensified. In particular, they published 543 scientific works, including as co-authors of monographs and articles in specialized publications of Ukraine and foreign periodicals. 103 winners took part in Olympiads and competitions of various levels, 40 of them – in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiads and competitions, and 14 – became their winners and were awarded diplomas of I, II and III degrees.

Five international scientific and practical conferences of students and young scientists "Formation of quality management mechanisms and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises" were held. (VI-a (2015) – X-a (2019), the participants of which, in addition to Ukraine, were representatives of Austria, Armenia, Georgia, Spain, Germany, Poland, the Republic of Belarus, Romania, etc.

Within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Alfred Nobel University and the Poznań University of Technology, scientific cooperation is carried out and the international scientific project "Problems of employment of graduates of higher education institutions" is being implemented, to which the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences and the Gdańsk Polytechnic are also involved.
