International Relations Committee

How to join the student parliament?

Formal method:

  1. Filling out the candidate questionnaire.
  2. Choosing a committee of interest.
  3. Feedback from the Committee Chair, interview.
  4. Completing an internship, completing a thematic assignment in the selected committee*. Completing several different assignments, if there are doubts about which direction is more interesting.
  5. Defending and presenting the completed assignment to the Committee Chair and the President and/or Vice President.
  6. Passing a probationary period of 2 weeks.
  7. Entering the official ranks of the Student Parliament.

* — throughout the entire period of completing the assignment, a committee representative or the Chair is with the student, helping during each stage.

Informal method:

  1. Active participation of students in the life of the university and student life: attending events, helping SPU members with simple tasks, ideas for organizing events, loyalty and support.
  2. Expressing interest in being an official SPU member as part of a certain committee.
  3. Filling out a candidate questionnaire.
  4. Interview with the Committee Chair.
  5. Admission to the team*.

* — In this case, an individual task is not mandatory, because a person already known to the team who has shown himself before joins the SPU.

Ombudsman’s Office: Office 2102 or Student Space on the 7th floor of the university


The competence of the Ombudsman of Student Self-Government and Students includes:

  1. Student Advocacy: The Student Ombudsman advocates for the interests and rights of students by helping them resolve various issues and conflicts with the administration or faculty.
  2. Conflict Mediation: He/She may mediate conflicts between students and between students and the administration.
  3. Discrimination Protection: The Ombudsman may assist students in cases involving sexual discrimination, racial or ethnic discrimination, and other forms of discrimination.
  4. Advice and Counseling: The Ombudsman provides students with advice and counseling on issues related to their studies, rights, and other aspects of student life.
  5. Support for Participation in Governance: Helps students participate in student government and participate in university governance processes.
  6. Acting as a mediator between students and authorities: The Ombudsman can represent the interests of students before the university administration and authorities.
